That's exactly it. The end game is the fat pension, and lining their pockets on the way there. Work for the good of the country and it's people and it's future? Huh? What? Ugh...
My god, to have a politician to stand up and say "Look, this is one exploratory drill. If the discovery is massive the east coast gas supply will be set for the future = lower energy costs for everyone. If not, no harm done. Go drill. You others can still play with your wind mills and solar panels while they're at it."
That is how simple it is and what it boils down to.
