Blocking on desktop, hover your cursor on the profile picture above the users name, three options should poop up; hit ignore.
On phone more complicated; Open HC, go to the My Account drop down, tap on this and the menu will appear. Second from the bottom of the menu is ignored members, tap this, scroll to the bottom and there is a text box, write the members name you want to ignore in the test box and then hit the orange box with "ignore' in it.
