GLP looks at safety amongst varied animal species so what they dose a human in phase 1 isn’t cytotoxic and what safety results they got before in preclinical studies match up properly and is done by an independent organisation to make sure it’s truthfully done. It’s why they tested in specific human genomes, invitro and invivo.
