Peter Van der Made is a shareholder, so are most of the people in the management team.
They don't hold shares that are in any way different or have more or less rights than ours. Most of the remuneration packages of the key staff are heavily weighted toward shares as incentives.
Do you think they would risk kicking that hornet's nest through a dodgy transaction?
You can be damn sure they don't care about you or me personally - we're just numbers on a share register, but they do care about doing the wrong thing about shareholders as a collective group. You don't need that kind of grief when you are a start-up contemplating listing in the US.
In any case, we get to vote.
