I love the irony in this. Of course there is way more about the move that appeals to me. You and several of our practical, well-informed, logical investors have listed myriad advantages. Meanwhile I respect the great country of Australia and all of its many fine citizens... that's probably the only reason that there could be, to stay.
Essentially I voted for the move when I first bought in ~ 5 years ago, because I always expected and believed and hoped that it would happen. I own a lot more shares now and will be trying to vote my shares, strongly in favor. So far, proxy voting from my American home has not worked. Macht nichts... this move will happen and that problem will go away.
I'm pretty sure our board haters will be a lot happier with the new additions following the transition. Unless they are so disgruntled that they feel compelled to sell.
As usual this is not advice... just my honest perspective. I was fortunately able to pick up 100,000 more shares on Friday.
