    A more detailed selection of the available data for the early discovery and development history phases of these projects is given in these two PDF's.

    bramaderos discovery history.pdf

    Cascabel history.pdf

    [Note the data above is probably not complete especially before Cornerstone's involvement at Cascabel.]

    I haven't done enough research to do detail geological/geophysical etc comparisons so just broad brush for the most part.

    Similarities Bramaderos and Cascabel.

    • Both anomalies were probably discovered by pre-2000 regional stream and soil geochemistry and subsequent follow up mapping and rock chip sampling.
    • Both concessions are around 5000 hectares [maximum individual size allowed].
    • Both areas are probably quite low on the environmental sensitivity levels with reasonable to good community relations. [Something that has caused the 1BT (0.89% Cu) "Junin (now LLurimagua) deposit" to be undeveloped for over 20 years - looks like politics and economics will trump environmental issues soon]
    • Subsequent exploration has revealed multiple targets on both concessions (20 for Bramaderos and 14 for Cascabel are mentioned but will change over time as more exploration and drilling are done).
    • Soil, stream sediment, trenching sampling is effective at both.
    • Trench results for both show a reasonable similarity. If anything Bramaderos/Limon results while of similar Au/Cu values are much longer than those at Cascabel. (Topography and Vegetation may play some role in this difference).
    • Magnetic and IP surveys produce strong targets. Magnetic inversion modelling has proved highly effective at Cascabel and upcoming drill testing at Bramaderos will reveal how useful it is there.
    • Early shallow drilling at both gave interesting results but it wasn't until the ~1350m hole 5 at Cascabel was drilled that there was the first indication of a major discovery. Scout drilling at Bramaderos may not have this depth capacity.....wait and see.
    • While these two projects are at very different development stages the time line and Capex for any production are likely to be of a similar order of magnitude (if such ever eventuates).

    Differences Bramaderos and Cascabel

    • Elevation and hence erosional level within mineralised system. Bramaderos is approximately 1Km lower in elevation but is more than 500 Kms away in perhaps a different geological environment so any comparison is moot.
    • Vegetation is limited at Bramaderos and more tropical at Cascabel. This is a reflection of climate and altitude.
    • Bramaderos was a very obvious target geochemical and geological target that was drilled by some 12Kms by 2008 though the jury is out on how effective this has been.
    • Cascabel remained unloved until Solgold followed up project generator Cornerstone's confirmatory soil, stream sediment etc sampling. This quickly brought Alpala to a drill ready state that IMO was the equivalent of Bramaderos some 10 years previously.
    • Technology and geological understanding have improved such that initial technical success may now be improved upon.
    • Gold is common in stream sediments at Cascabel but not reported at Bramaderos that I noticed.
    • Bramaderos Porotillo are distinct ridges Vs Limon and Cascabel that seem to be in valleys

    Much more but enough for now.

    ===================================================

    Some trivia that came up while doing the above research.

    • Cornerstone got a traffic ticket for a dramatic drop in share price the day after the Cascabel deal!
    • Cascabel and Bramaderos were both put on the back burner for other projects where the grass seemed greener. Wow for Cascabel!
    • Grades for Au and Cu economic deposits have changed dramatically over the years.

    ===============================================

    On that final point here are some of the lower grade deposits around the world. Some are mines. Some are stranded, on hold and may never be developed for a variety of reasons.

    Malcolm Norris made mention of Bramaderos being of similar grade to Cadia in a video. If he meant Cadia East then the size is there plus in a well established mining area with a well credentialed miner at hand. To reach something like this will take maybe 10 years?

    Some have made comparisons to Cascabel. The bulk grade is similar to Bramaderos intersections, but it is the high grade core that is IMO most likely to get this up and running. This is not a dissimilar situation to the much smaller Ridgeway deposit or the Valley of the Kings where "high grading" has been the way to go and may lead to mining of the lower grade halos in due course (already happening at Ridgeway).

    KSM Snowfields in BC's golden triangle may be the tip of some big icebergs in that area. Windy Craggy (300Mt 2%) canned for environmental reasons. Pebble - pity it is where it is for miners as it may stay in the ground. Tepal is there for a trip down memory lane for me.

    In a previous post I mentioned the geomorphological similarities to Bramaderos and I wonder if the surface and drill results I saw in Mexico will apply to Bramaderos, Limon etc. Only one 200m hole in Mexico with Bramaderos grades for the entire length. What you see on surface was basically what there was at depth. I hope this is not the case for Bramaderos.

    The magnetics 3D inversion suggest some differences with the Mexican example above that will be drilled.

    Trenching result comparisons - Bramaderos and Cascabel
    Surface results aren't too dissimilar. As mentioned above the interval/intersection width is commonly greater for Bramaderos but the gold grades are locally higher for Cascabel. Limited comparison only so not definitive.

    Will be interesting to see what drilling brings at Bramaderos. JJs 20 bagger or a technical success? Know which most (all) would prefer.
