It comes down to the value, the speed of the process(less than a few hours per cycle) and versatility of the products i.e. oil, clean water and a mineral sludge which can be used as a fertilizer. Changing World Technologies claim to be able to produce oil using about 1/6 the contained energy cf 1/3, but my guess is that sewage is a lower grade source than what CWT was considering.
