Following on from my previous post, If they ended up doing 1kg batch size at Lab scale using a $530 reactor, you would think our Demo Plant would be well above that, they said they expect it to cost around the $3m mark. Even our “Prototype” cost $1.5m when it was first built, however it has continually evolved since it was first made.

I don’t know where our Prototype is located, I’d guess at Knighthawk who have independently verified the Rice Uni data, and probably use it to develop the Demo unit, or possibly at Rice Uni.

(has anyone picked up where it’s located?)

Also if Rice Uni show their automated Lab Scale unit with 8 chambers (not sure if that’s representative) to produce 5kg/hr from 1kg batches, I wonder what size batches our Prototype is doing, and whether it has multiple chambers. They don’t report the batch size, though in an early Webinar did mention 500g batches - but that was a while ago now. Also they are just proving the concept, they don’t need the scale to do that, though Knighthawk would be testing the various scales which is why I suspect the prototype is located there.

Yes I seem to remember reading that somewhere too, will have to try to dig it up.
