I think Huang is downplaying quantum computing advancement because in some ways it could kill his company in the medium to long term. He is a "legacy" computing chip maker and i believe nvidia is actually hiring QC engineers to someday develop their own product. He doesn't want nvidia to have the same fate as intel. Axe drop was not that bad compared to some other players that wend down 50%.
