Hi everyone. What a magnificent announcement today.
Dr. T said he was amazed.
I'm stoked. These results are surely incredible.
I dunno about everyone else, but I have wondered on more than one occasion whether the fight against this disease
is making any headway. Apologies to all the brilliant people devoting careers to that endeavor.
But this looks huge, doesn't it? Really huge.
My daughter had a lymph node pop out above her collarbone one morning 8 years ago.
The doctor, at her initial consultation enquiring about the lump, told her, somewhat bluntly, she had cancer.
He was correct. Diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma.
She had chemo {ABVD} twice and radiation, and is thankfully recovered.
The back of mind fear of relapse for her is always there though.
So I spoke to her today and told her of the advancements being made by this company.
Hard to bring up with her, because i don't want to revive the possibility of a relapse, but wanted to reassure her of better treatments on the way.
Anyway, I'm sure we all have horrible stories of loved ones lost to this to this shit cancer.
Mum survived breast cancer. Dad lost to lung cancer.
Anyway, a great day for RACE and a great day for HOPE.
Had a couple of beers today. Cause for celebration on a couple of levels I think. Cheers.
