I suspect that at least 90% of contributors are in the same boat, myself included. Like you I give a Like and a GA to an obviously deserving post by Mason et al, without remotely following all of it (or even necessarily any of it). I recall recently when IndexInvestor (yes, IndexInvestor) was referred by Dr T to a particularly abstruse article, and said he wished he hadn't asked.


The language of microbiology takes significant study to get your head around. I wish I knew it, but then again I wish I knew Russian so that I could read Dostoyevsky and Pushkin in the original. Alas, life has been too busy until now for either.
