Possibly a matter of perspective I guess Senor? Or I could have just been joking around and of course that's exactly what I intended?


TBH it wasn't, but it prompted me to realize i doubt things will change anytime soon.

So what I sought to do was highlight the fact that the only way Cuban resources come out of the ground and into the market is through foreign investment & therefore the sovereign risk is reduced.

Also, the same embargo still in place means that companies astute enough to realize can capitalize on both the low operating costs & tax concessions when the hit these otherwise untouched but heavily researched discoveries.

Though I admit I did want to show a level of respect to Senora Montes who through only her moral guidance chose the path she took knowing full well the gravity of her actions in doing so.

Besides, the macro environment is all essentially politically driven is it not?

Else why would the Chinese be buying Gold?

Oh and they already have pretty much all the antimony supply tied up as well, except for that owned by the Russians ;-)
