The hole then encountered a sequence of sands and clays hostingsalty waters which then, at about 235m, turned to brines hosted within coarse clastic sedimentsincluding a breccia‐conglomerate (see Figure 1). Conductivity measurements from brine samplesexceeded the 200 milli siemens/cm limits of the field recording instrument.
