My understanding of caps is that the greater the surface area of the storage material the greater the charge stored..
So, laser printing graphene ridges on a sheet of graphene means each ridge adds to surface area. The same as building a 90 degree wall off a flat surface would add flat surface area to a space..
They used to do the same with electrolytic capacitors but instead of adding material to the substrate, they would laser cut grooves into it to add density.. but nothing is as thin as graphene.
