I actually work in the industry - you have no clue what you are talking about. Like I said, they care about liquidity and market cap, not share price. The NYSE however requires a min price of $1 to maintain a listing on their exchange so rather than having the ADRs move in 10% swings and a conversion of 1000 shares to 1 ADR or something like that they have had to do a consolidation at the same time. Nothing to do with instos caring about shareprice though.
My bet is the ADRs will be 20:1 and based on current, starting price of the ADR will therefore be $10
