We use a north seeking gyro for the basic surveys and is sent down the hole (during diamond drilling) with the tube retrieval tool attached to the bottom of the gyro. So all surveys are done in the drill string.

Another possibility is native copper could have been found and then smeared during the sample lab tests.
You would need to add in more standards and blanks or quartz flushes to help combat the native copper. If it’s actually present.

Also another issue could be that the mineralisation zone is super soft and the diamond drilling has actually washed the some mineralisation zone away.

Good points - some core photos and notes about geology and core recovery would be handy to cover off the last possibility of copper mineralization not being recovered by diamond core drilling. Back to last years RC sample bags and resubmit to the lab perhaps? But they were already submitted as 1m samples and these 1m samples were wet or of dubious sample quality then I guess why that would explain why they were so keen to replicate the sample interval using diamond drilling....

If the mineralisation is in some sort of weird high angle or sub-parallel geometry to the RC and diamond drilling traces then that is incredibly unlucky to jag a big high grade intercept in the RC hole, and then come up with almost nothing in the follow up diamond hole.
