You need to understand the difference between the MOP market and SOP market and the relationship between MOP and SOP pricing.
If BHP aggressively markets MOP it’s possible it could put pressure on SOP prices via secondary production of SOP. It’s worth listening to what the experts say going forward (the analysts at CRU for example).
Solar SOP producers currently have lower costs than secondary producers. If MOP prices dropped significantly higher cost solar producers could suffer.
But BHP won’t enter the market for years and hopefully supply/demand for MOP leads to MOP prices staying up.
