The key element is defining "success" and "failure", and IMO agents on the web, including HC, have this assigned task as part of such groups. I have, for example, delineated "the Choir" and some of its activities with respect to Botanix.
As for the reason BOT is being given the "full treatment", I believe there are people who are not pleased with the way in which Botanix has raised capital or with the amount of cash the company has on hand. I think these people would prefer more shares at a steep discount on a depressed share price (after which the share price would "miraculously" recover).
