Funding for 700 HX
- Prove HX works
- Prove business model will make money
- get a contract
- FBR will get finance
I was hoping to get some figures by reverse calculating the numbers in todays announcement but it seems they have applied a market share percentage onto the figure which makes it too hard to figure out.
8,300,000 homes ÷ 750 HX = 11,066 homes per HX
Considering HX could do maximum 1 home per day, i would still take 30 years to hit that target.
Looking ata more resonable work rate of a HX, lets say it can do 150 homes / year.
750 HX x 150 homes = 112,500 homes / year.
1,125,000 homes in 10 years, no where near the 8 Million.
So either FBR has only calculated based on say a ~10% market share, or they plan to smash out up to 2 homes per day working 24/7. This could actually be possible, so long as:
- Estate project Builds that are side by side
- All very similar
- 24/7 Operations & Maintenance crews
- Meticulous project management keeping the machines spiiting out bricks.
If FBR can get its hands on massive estate projects, this machine will be in its element.
