I think your not far off the mark with that calculation some may argue specific gravity is 2.8 and therefore it is 2800 kg per cubic metre but then how much gold was removed by prospectors, and what about the fines too?
So maybe ur figure is conservative, in any case it is a nice find and sort of like another unofficial bulk sample.
