As far as I am aware the most recent multi million ounce resource/ multi hundred thousand ounce production discovered and developed in the outback was the Tropicana development by IGO/ AGG.
The first drilling result I can see in relation to the discovery was released to the asx by IGO in June 03. Details of the first gold pour were announced by IGO in ....Sep 13. Other significant multi product developments in remote areas include CDU's ongoing development at Rocklands which has taken more than ten years.
So maybe Darren is being optimistic in saying a significant discovery would take ten years to start production!!
