I sent an email to Tino to ask what exactly are the downsides in producing oil in Indonesia.
And I said that a lot of people are complaining that the company is making money but when the accounts come out there is a loss.

The cost recovery (CR) is very good. All expenditures are recoverable from 80% of the whole field. After cost recovery the regime then flips in favour of the government.

But this is not what has effected BAS. Through the last year or so the company has been paying back COE deferred purchase loans and deferred taxes. The COE loan is now paid back and deferred taxes will be paid off by early 2020. This will free up the cash flow and profits from the current operations.
The addition of new properties is what will move us into faster growth.

I’m happy with this response and that makes sense of what has been happening.

Doubling the oil production is going to speed everything up for BAS and enhance the prospects and outlook.
