I'm impressed by the step-by-step progress on Main Lode. BAR are doing just as they laid out at the AGM and it's working out.
Judging by the sectional diagram a large proportion of the seam hasn't been mined at all, and that this confirms the continuation at depth is very promising indeed. Seeing as this resource has historically produced 400,000 ounces of gold so far...things look promising!
Any gold-mining experts on this forum willing to provide their thoughts please? What would cost of production likely be at a reasonable scale of operation and at the level 8 depth?
We should also remember that BAR's major shareholder FMR (21.89% of the issued capital) is a large underground mining company! So there is the expertise to call on, and a likely collaboration down the track if Main Lode goes well (as proposed for other projects last year). FMR (formally Barminco) also owns a gold mill.
Cheers,
Solarbat
