A lot of commentary from posters regarding applicability to current mines as is the case with WAF. The company states it is its interpretation from the text is that only new mines are affected. They have not however confirmed this to be the case. This is extremely important. Further, the reduction in license renewal is of great concern also. It provides for the government a renegotiating point far more frequently, they can 'tighten the screws' and renew demands in favour of license approval. I sold only by shear luck a few weeks ago in the low $1.50's and have been looking to re-enter. Today's release sees me now waiting for confirmation (not interpretation) that indeed the updated Code applies only to new mines. I'm keenly watching but happy to forgo some upside if the interpretation is correct. If it's wrong and current mines are caught in the new Code I'll be comfortable in the knowledge i held off. Ffingers crossed for all holders it's a good outcome.
