While I respect that view point, I am not in agreement Exised.
I think the likes of CMM, EMR, RMS and others have proven... that there are very... very few good projects available (well that exist at all) in Western Australia, otherwise they would have bought more of them. I think Richard and his team are as prepared as any listed company for the challenges they face in Burkina Faso, yet, they stay, because the two projects they have are directly and indirectly supporting thousands, potentially 10's of thousands of BF citizens, and whilst the Government will make it's own decisions, the best gold mines/deposits being discovered are.... by and large in Africa and South America. I hold WAF because I want exposure to West Africa, because it's bloody well run and arguably, incredibly simple and logical mines.
I fully expect WAF to eventually rival the likes of B2Gold, because Richard won't be content to just produce gold, he wants to find more and develop more, and I am ok with them doubling down in West Africa (though I can see the logic of spreading risk between countries, there are also further complications in dealing with multiple governments, versus just 1).

The best way to fortify WAF, is to look at the next project in WAF, to show continued commitment to investing in the country.
Locally, if some... rare insect somehow decides it how inhabits a mining area, then... in the blink of an eye, the woke Government of OZ will shut it down.
As far as I know, while there are and will continue to be issues in BF, they don't shut down mines.... jobs are key to stability and WAF is employing an awful lot of locals. In any case, I am not selling.... these short term moves will slowly get cancelled out by WAF finishing off Kiaka and hopefully... find a few more U/G deposits beneath the main Sanbrado pit.

    Good luck to all holders.
