Liliam agreed to pay Endeavour $300m for the two mines, but missed payments of $100m. Government settles dispute, payingLiliumEndeavour$60m + 3% royalties up to 400k oz to nationalize them.
It's unclear how much Endeavour were already paid by Lilium and the extent of Liliam's loss on relinquishing the mines. Given the cessation of legal proceedings against each other, one could assume it's viewed as close enough to fair.
The point of a sensationalized headline stands.
