The table below looks at the reported grades at Burmeister classified by the type lithology and comments provided. There's a couple of instances of low grade Quartz, Felsic and one of sediment that I haven't included. In addition to being infrequent, their averages were all under 0.4%.

If the pegmatite intercepts are a mix of Mafic/peg or Peg/Mafic you would expect them to be lower, and they are. If the pegmatite intercepts are noted as being partly weathered or very weathered you would expect them to be lower, and they are. Mafic intercepts are obviously going to be low because they are the host rock for the Pegmatite.

Where the Pegmatite's are being reported there were 295 assay's above 0.4% and 7 assay's below 0.4%. Where the assay was of pegmatite, it was over 0.4% around 97% of the time. The average grade was 1.42% for RC drilling and 1.51% for the DD drilling (DD was undertaken on the more interesting targets). Many other projects would get to more than 6.1m of pegmatite under 0.4% within the first couple of drill holes.

I suspect assay's regularly coming back with circa 1.4% averages is why David was confident that with infill drilling the grade would increase from the 0.97%-1.19% exploration target range. It doesn't require finding new, higher grade instances. Coming in above the range estimate only requires new pegmatite instances to come in at the averages seen for all existing pegmatite drilling. The 200m gap between drill holes is however at the moment creating a striped pattern where the grade drops in the zone between areas with drilling and that is pulling down the exploration target average.

Hopefully this characteristic of the Pegmatites having consistent commercial grade mineralisation continues into Jaegermeister.
