    Not a terrible idea but the engineering complexities along with the geological details would need some thought.
    • would the top seal hold the smaller molecules of dry gas?
    • what is the base water situation and would injection be better from the base or put into the top?
    • is gas the best injection material - gas, water, or the miracle oil flusher - CO2 (routinely used in the Permian - CO2 mostly shipped from Utah)?
    It is likely that Buru has given all of the above some consideration and maybe a clean ownership slate will prompt an attempt as some form of secondary production.
