There seems to be a few deals of this nature in the oil business over the past few years, maybe Origin can't find (or can't be bothered to find) suitable contractors to develop all of their own wells, so they farm them out to the small fry in exchange for a chop of the profits. Did the covid lockdowns result in an exodus of oil industry workers...or have the larger companies done business this way for years and I never noticed?
