Quite common that when management start keeping secrets from the shareholders, that it leads to a nasty surprise. I don't think it was justifable in any way that they didn't break down the performance of their funds to allow a comparison with and without the Mesirow funds.
Was a great excursion for some, who dumped lots of stock on the huge rally. Does it look like Mesirow is worth anything at all?
