I don't particularly like shorters, but if it is a "legitimate" part of the stock market then it should be made a little more transparent.

Information is available but well after the event, putting the little guy at a disadvantage.

If shorters had nothing to hide, they should be happy to have all short sales coded with an "SS" and buyers given the option of not purchasing short sold shares. That's fair to everyone.

Who'd buy shares being sold primarily to drive the price down???
