It's just that the near term upside for them is a temporary dip in their capital value but a long term increase in their shareholding. And these operations can go a very long time if not combated by uncontrolled buyers. Unfortunately this has all the hallmarks of a marked operation ie., a call to scavengers. Lot of bots cooperating and sharing the morsels.
