“More than 97% of forecast East Coast gas sales in FY20/21 is expected to be sold under term contract, with less than 25% of these volumes oil-linked”
the oil-linked gas contract (GSA) is with Origin Energy and started in July 2015. It contains a minimum price clause which I estimate today to be around BPT last realised gas price of $7 per GJ. Minimum price also contains annual CPI increase provision. The minimum price is now well above the oil-linked price. Meaning the Cooper Basin gas is not oil linked at all right now.
