Merck's license to Alusion has been extended to 2025 (originally 2023).

However, as of 11 May 2020, their exclusivity to all applications has ended ("The board is now able to expand our aluminium oxide business into new markets"), and Merck are limited to the areas of their product line, being cosmetics.

This means that applications outside of cosmetics (of which is what Merck's RonaFlair White Sapphire application is) such as, industrial or medical purposes in things like Apple's patent via Saint Gobain, 3D Printing applications with 3DFortify, Surgical implants and protheses, and other things we don't even know about yet, are fair game, effective immediately (or as at 11 May 2020) as opposed to originally having to wait for Merck's exclusivity to expire in 2023.

The upside is, we keep Merck as a Cosmetics partner until 2025, where their calendar year orders are several million dollars and growing which pretty much alone underwrites the costs of ANO's entire business.
