*shrug* each to their own, personally I don't see it as management's job to manage market jitters and I think it's condescending for them to say they're withholding information from me for my own good.
I think all companies should release information when they have it and let the share price do whatever it does. If they focus on making decisions based on what is good for business operations then eventually the share price will take care of itself. As an investor who tries to be rational, market overreactions represent opportunities; long-term investors can ignore the gyrations and daytraders get given an excuse to exist
