I think levs offer was just intended to get rid of people that criticize him and Acton. In my eyes he does not want to get rid of Acton because 1) he is stubborn and 2) Acton just does what Lev tells him to do. So most of the mistakes the company made are cause by Lev.
Regarding the board it seems it would make no difference if it was composed of random people out of an elderly home that get offered coffee and pie a few times a year.
the demand for their core product is going away and they keep mentioning promising initiatives that ultimately do not lead to anything but expenses.
