I'm not blaming you or any one else, but pointing out there was a gloomy sentiment expressed by several individuals that created a rather gloomy atmosphere followed by a bad announcement on a day when the All Ords dropped over 3% all on its own.
And yes, +/-10% is within ALB's typical day to day range. Indeed, 30% per day changes have been known.
I wouldn't bother with a stock that is going to be the same price for the next year - why not just put your money into super and forget about it???
One can only anticipate what a stock will do if all remains stable. Sudden market shifts, changes in commodity prices, Oz dollar and announcements all confound predictions - we all know that. Expecting a rise, as I said when I mentioned 10%, and getting it are two different things.
