Transaction in own shares

Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") announces that on 19 September 2012
it purchased 20,000 of its own ordinary shares of 5p each at an average price
of 1451.89 pence per share.  The purchased shares will be cancelled.

Following the above purchase of shares, Caledonia's issued share capital
includes 56,861,301 ordinary shares of 5p each with voting rights.
