BUYBACK: MRP: Share buyback programme - update
In accordance with Mighty River Power's Trading in Company Securities Policy,
the Company will not be purchasing any shares as part of the current
on-market buyback programme between 1 December 2013 and 26 February 2014.
The 'blackout' period that applies through to the Company's 2014 Interim
Results announcement means that purchases under the programme can resume from
market opening on 27 February 2014, being the trading day following the
release of the results to NZX and ASX.
The Company has announced share purchases to date of 11,900,186, representing
just under half of the maximum 25 million ordinary shares stipulated under
the share buyback programme, which can extend through to 14 October 2014.
Shares purchased under the buyback programme are currently being held by the
Company as Treasury stock.
