BUYBACK: TEL: Telecom Share Buyback Disclosure Document
Telecom Corporation of New Zealand Limited ("Telecom") announced on 24
February 2012 that during the 2012 calendar year Telecom intends implementing
an on-market buyback to acquire a maximum of 200 million ordinary shares for
an aggregate purchase price of not more than NZ$300 million. The disclosure
document attached explains the nature and implications of the buyback for
Telecom and its shareholders and will be sent to shareholders in accordance
with the Companies Act 1993.
