TrustPower has issued the following letter to Shareholders regarding Share
Buyback Activity

Dear Shareholder
Notice of share buyback activity
This letter to shareholders is issued in accordance with the requirements of
Section 65(2A) of the Companies Act 1993 and requires no further action on
your part. The buyback detailed in this letter will not affect your shares
in any way.
At the Annual Meeting of TrustPower Limited (Company) held on 28 July 2011,
the shareholders of the Company approved by ordinary resolution an extension
of the Defined Share Buyback Programme providing for acquisitions by the
Company of up to five million of its own shares for a further period not
exceeding three years.
During the period 10 February 2012 to 30 April 2012 the Company has acquired
48,111 ordinary shares on market at an average price of $7.0637 for a total
consideration of $339,842. As the shares were acquired by offers made by the
Company through NZX's order matching market, the Company has not identified
the seller or beneficial owner (as the case may be) of the shares acquired.
