Dear Shareholder
Notice of share buyback activity
At the Annual Meeting of TrustPower Limited (Company) held on 28 July 2011,
the shareholders of the Company approved by ordinary resolution an extension
of the Defined Share Buyback Programme providing for acquisitions by the
Company of up to five million of its own shares for a further period not
exceeding three years.
Section 65(2A) of the Companies Act 1993 requires that, within three months
after shares are acquired, the Company must notify each shareholder of
certain particulars in respect of any acquisitions completed.
We now give notice that during the period 8 November 2011 to 2 February 2012
the Company has acquired 195,813 ordinary shares on market at an average
price of $7.0482 for a total consideration of $1,380,122. As the shares were
acquired by offers made by the Company through NZX's order matching market,
the Company has not identified the seller or beneficial owner (as the case
may be) of the shares acquired.
