Been wondering about the BYE process for block selection? They would have to look at previous seismic first ( and any production data that may exist) and then see if it fits the criteria of being "enhanceable" by the advanced computer programs they use. Would they then actually run those programs in perhaps a less detailed form to firm up those blocks chances before making an offer ? At some point pre farm out i'd imagine they would be wanting to do that ,one to to get a higher FI in price and two to make it easier to farm out.
