Say the price gets to 20cents on April 10th, can you exercise the option to buy @15c then, or does it have to be on 30th April?

If I'm paying 1.4c today for an option, the price needs to get to 16.4cents for it to be worthwhile? That is, I buy 300,000 shares @ 15 cents, and I already paid 300,000 x1.4cents for the option, so in reality each share is costing me 16.4 cents?
