A couple of key points from the second of two recent mining.com.au interviews.
The first makes the point that Angola has been starving its soils of phosphate and has to reverse that as part of its current push to expand agriculture and feed itself.
"The world uses about 60kg of phosphate per capita". "Angola is less than three". If you want to have food security, you've got to be around 25".
The next statement states that MNB's financiers want to see MNB borrow more than what it needs for stage 1. That doesn't sound like they are unlikely to approve credit to MNB on this project.
"double capacity of the plant for only 4 mill dollars and we're getting export interest already, so that's just a bit of a no brainer. So everybody thinks we should do that. All our financiers want us to do that as well."
