Anyway, very few ionc clay deposits (as defined by loosely bound RE's leachable with 'cheap' weak salt +-/ ammonia leach solutions), but there are a few in Brazil and bound to be more on that basis (none yet found in Oz). Another is the Serra Vede deposit, been worked on for over a decade, with ~55% REO extraction from simple salt leach at natural pH and temp. Consider that this deposit has an average saprolite clay IC mineralisation thickness of 4.65m (from 2015 work)

Then consider IXR's Makuutu deposit, which has a RE-recovery sweet spot of ionic clays above the saprolite clays, with the lower saprolite clays with very poor RE-recoveries yet very high TREO. Recoveries in the lower saprolite is so poor they don't even present them in the releases, because what's the point of high TREO if it doesn;t recover to your leach solution??

Then consider if the Japanese are stupid, and stopped a vast majority of their holes short for no reason despite those holes ending in high TREO Then maybe ask yourself just how much you understand about ICD's and if it's possible MEI is hanging out the hope of doubling the depth and thus MRE tonnage on science, hopium or cynicism?

It's the real deal, that much was apparent to blind Freddy once they confessed it was truly leaching with a cheap salt solution. There is a hefty 4.75% NSR ontop of cash consideration, Brazilian royalties/taxes, state taxes, Brazilian risk, and simply the tyranny of time to work through feasibility studies. Not saying it won;t be a mine, not saying it won;t be a highly valued project, just interested to see how many buyers turn up to soak up those taking their bags elsewhere?

2iC - can you post the entire SV presentation? There is very little detailed info on SV in the public domain so it would be interesting to see it, even if it is a few years old
