I think the best deals are done from a position of strength (i.e. when you do not need to do a deal).... the path which I see CAI appears to be on is consolidating the mine asset (maximize production rate and pay down debt), monetize the lithium project, develop Blue Spec and explore the currently held tenements. There is plenty of organic growth to be realised.
The aspiration to be a multi-mine company is good sense but it does require a degree of financial strength which CAI has not yet attained. Give it another year or so and that will have changed... imo.
