retail strategy is very high risk.
by taking on the franchisee businesses they are fully exposed to fair works and minimum wages structure, including all penalty rates, overtime, etc
if the retail business model margins are low, then there is not a lot of room to pay. minimum wages will be increased faster than average wages for the foreseeable future.
if the retail business model was so attractive, franchisees wouldn't have been paying below minimum wages and conditions.
I am avoiding still
