Trains in Cameroon operating on the under-utilised rail line, and supported with some Africa Rail investment data, we came to 1-3c per tonne, per km. Smaller trains, but cheaper to run.

So an 800km journey should cost in the order of $8-24/tonne depending on scale, volume and the final deal signed with the rail operators. If we can rail it for $10-15/t, we will be in a very good position come DFS.

Shipping 10mtpa of DSO product, we will need to do 27,500tpd, which could be completed with 5-6 reasonble sized trains. So $275-412kpd of rail costs. At that price... everyone will be fat and happy!!
