Great points Snob, though It maybe Stonehorse options were written into the contract and in theory Pinecliff could be forced to honor it.
Joint ventures are also bring the benefit off risk reduction by spreading risk amongst more wells which Pinecliff might want to take advantage off
thus reducing the impact of one well failure.
